Terms and Conditions

  1. Provisional Booking
    • Provisional bookings can be made via the electronic booking form on our website (http://yacht.camp) or through any conversations with our number +37 257 737 509. These bookings are not binding for either the School or the Student. After receiving a provisional booking, the School will send an invoice with payment details.
  2. Firm Booking
    • A booking becomes firm once the 50% deposit is paid.
  3. Deposit
    • A 50% deposit is required for bookings made more than 28 days before the course. The balance is due 28 days prior to the course start date.
    • If the balance is unpaid 28 days before the course, a reminder email or/and WhatsApp message will be sent. If the balance remains unpaid 21 days before the course, the School reserves the right to sell the Student’s place without refund to Student, except in cases where the Student has made prior arrangements with the School to pay the remaining balance on board. In exception case Student have the confirmation email from School official email info@yacht.camp
  4. Course Duration
    • 2-Day Practical Courses: From approximately 1000 hours Start day to approximately 1800 hours Next days
    • 5-Day Practical Courses: From approximately 1800 hours Start day to 1800 hours the 5th day.
    • 7-Day Practical Courses: From approximately 1800 hours Saturday to 0900 hours the following Saturday.
    • Practical exams (if needed) typically start the evening or day after the course ends and last 1–2 days, depending on participant numbers. The exam schedule will be announced prior to the course.
  5. Delay/Non-Arrival/Cancellation
    • Students should inform the School of any delays as soon as possible.
    • If cancellation is necessary within 28 days of the course, the School will attempt to mitigate costs by reallocating the berth. If successful, only the deposit is forfeited; otherwise, the full fee is due.
    • Students who fail to arrive without notice forfeit all paid monies. Travel and cancellation insurance is recommended.
  6. Late Return of Sailing Vessel
    • If a vessel return is delayed beyond the course date, Students may stay onboard at the company’s expense or choose to return home at their own expense. The School’s liability does not extend beyond this.
  7. Under 18s
    • Minors are accepted when sailing with a parent or guardian. Booking forms for under 18s must be signed by the parent or guardian.
  8. Instruction on Your Own Yacht
    • All terms apply. Tuition fees and additional costs must be paid before the course unless otherwise agreed. The student's vessel must meet safety standards and provide for the Instructor’s needs onboard.
    • The yacht owner must inform their insurance company about the onboard instructor, while remaining the Skipper.
  9. Health
    • Students should consult their GP regarding any medical concerns and inform the School and Skipper. Students are advised to bring personal medication, including seasickness remedies.
  10. Skipper’s/Instructor’s Decisions
    • The Skipper's decisions are final and must be adhered to at all times. Non-compliance may result in the student being put ashore without liability to the School.
  11. Sea Time
    • The Skipper will maximize sea time within safety and weather constraints. The Skipper’s decision is final.
  12. Vessel Change
    • Vessel changes due to unsuitability do not affect the validity of these terms and conditions.
  13. School Cancellation
    • If the School cannot fulfill a booking due to vessel issues, the student will be informed immediately, and a full refund will be made.
  14. School Insurance
    • The Instructors in School are insured. Students are encouraged to obtain their own insurance for personal needs.
  15. Disclaimer
    • No liability is accepted for student vehicles or possessions in Port where the course starts. Participation is at students' own risk.
  16. Breakages or Damages
    • Any damage must be reported immediately. Students are liable for up to €100 per damaged item.
  17. Certificates
    • Certificates are issued only if the student meets the required standards, as judged by the School’s instructors. This decision is final.
  18. Duties Onboard
    • Students are expected to participate in cooking, cleaning, and routine maintenance as directed by the Instructor.
  19. Physical Fitness
    • Students should ensure they have adequate fitness levels for sailing. Any health concerns should be disclosed at booking.
  20. Complaints
    • Concerns should be raised with the Instructor first. If unresolved, contact the Chief Instructor or Principal for further assistance.
